Hillary Franklin is a dancer and choreographer based in New York City. She is known for making work in various mediums and disciplines, often integrating dance, music, film, painting, sculpture, lighting design, and technology to create new experiences. Franklin received extensive training in Dance and Choreography from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where she graduated from the High School program and completed her BFA. Franklin served as Assistant Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer for Jonathan Melville Pratt's integrated synesthetic production company Robot Church from 2013-2015. She has directed and choreographed multiple works for film including the dance film "FOLDS", featuring original music composition by Jonathan Melville Pratt, and the film ballet "Molly Under the Moon", which received national and international recognition. "Molly Under the Moon" was selected to be screened at the Tel Aviv International Film Festival, WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival, RiverRun International Film Festival, Ivy Film Festival, Munich International Film Festival, and Cucalorus Film Festival. "Molly Under the Moon" was nominated for the CILECT Prize at the Tel Aviv International Film Festival, and won a REMI award at WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival. Performance credits include The Reynolda House Museum of American Art and The Lincoln Center Institute.
